Why did you select this song as your current single?
I selected “College” mainly because I think its where I’m at mentally right now in my life. My views towards the subject of college and just the series of life changing events that I’ve endured while being in college is the reason I select this song.
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
This single is a direct correlation of how my EP will be very diverse, very introspective, very “Ify”.
What was the writing process for the song?
When I wrote “College” I was actually on campus when I wrote it. I was standing outside of my Writing Comp class with my red beats headphones and my iPhone just having at it. Although I was very late
to class as a result, I just couldn’t stop writing, it was all flowing so seamlessly.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
The song lyrics to me mean everything, it really sums up my thoughts and sort of like a tribute to certain events that have shaped me in college thus far.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
It would be very eye opening for some; I wouldn’t be able to hold back the passion. Haha I might shed a tear.
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
Yes and no. They could get a great feel as to who I am, but there is a lot more that they wouldn’t know after hearing this song.
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
Yes, I am in works right now with a great videographer and we are
going back and forth as to the concept of the video. I really want a
beach or lake scene somewhere in the video.
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
The sole motivation behind all of my music, I would have to say, is love. The heart breaks, the lack of attention, the hurt. I might honestly mention something about love in every single song I make. Haha I don’t know yet though, it might be kind of awkward.
