SXSW will be showcase one of the most wanted invention to come along. This invention will be available for sale in 2017 and that is the flying car. AeroMobil CEO Juraj Vaculik revealed that the company is aiming to put flying cars in the sky and on the market
“We are now scaling up quite fast, building the team, and the plan is that in 2017 we’ll be able to announce the first flying roadster,” Vaculik told CNBC. “The point is not only to showcase that it’s possible to marry together a plane and a car, but to really commercialize it.”
The first model will be only a two seater with a top speed of 99 miles per hour on the road and 124 miles in the air. The great part about this is that it will be able to land in grass and take off from grass.
The vehicle will be marketed toward luxury car and aircraft buyers with a price tag to match. Vaculik says the AeroMobil will likely cost a “couple of hundred thousand” euros.
Don’t think this happened over night because they started this adventure back in 1990 with it first prototype. Congrats for all the hard work.
