Why did you select this song as your current single?
There is a long story behind this song. I bet on myself for this release after summer 2015… it comes from a personal story o mie
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
I really don’t know yet because I am already involved in a new special project: electronic music based on poems I have written.
What was the writing process for the song?
Well, the recordings started back in January 2015. I had asked Dimitris Kiklis to compose a song for an anniversary (a personal story of mine) and he composed this song “Petra ki efhi” which can be translated s “Stone and wish”. We first recorded it as a demo back in January 2015. In September of 2015 we started working on this track more professionally in order to officially release it. We worked it very hard at studio. The famous accordionist Jim Papadamis came and played accordion and the famous Greek pop / rock star Sofia Arvaniti did the vocals supporting my voice… J
The song is released under the label “R & F Productions” (produced by Fabrizio Matarelli) and has been released to all major digital stores all over the world as a digital single and as a cd-single (I am so happy for that) exclusively by Amazon USA and Amazon Japan! All the arrangements were done by Dimitris Kiklis and the song was recorded and mixed at Polyphoniki Studios in Athens by Petros Petropoulos.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
Well, the song has been composed when I was so much in love and believing that I had found my other half in this life… I was so in love and so much grateful to life… Unfortunately the songs don’t always tell the truth… unfortunately… anyway the song talks about two people at their mid ages who meet and decide to be together throwing a stone to all their bad past moments and make a wish to walk together at their lives…
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
No, not at all. I have been involved in many music projects because I am not actually a singer. You know I am a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer who sometimes releases new songs! My new project with ambient / house / electronic and dubstep tunes will really Break the boat. I believe it… stay tunned!
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
Yeap! The video of the song is announced to be released in about 1 month and I am very excited about that! The director is a very famous Greek director and I am very happy and pleased about that! We just did the story board!
