According to CBS News, Actor Michael Jace who is best known for his role in the critically acclaimed cop drama, “The Shield” was arrested Tuesday morning in LA for killing his wife.
Jace is being charged with homicide and according to TMZ, he is the one that called the police on himself telling officials the “I shot my wife.” His bail is currently set at 1 million. The police released a statement saying t this moment the motive of the murder is believed to be domestic violence.”
On Monday night, Jace’s neighbors alerted police after hearing gunfire. When officers arrived, they found April Jace dead with gunshot wounds to her body; two young children were also inside the home at the time.
Jace appeared in 89 episodes of FX’s hit The Shield as Julien Lowe, a rookie cop who rises the ranks to detective over the show’s seven season run. Recently, Jace had a recurring role on another cop drama, Southland, and over the years he appeared in numerous television shows like CSI, NYPD Blue, and Cold Case. His film credits include Forrest Gump, Boogie Nights and The Replacements.
