News: Colbert to Replace David Letterman – Ent News

stephen-colbert-david-letterman-retirementAs reported a few days back by himself, David Letterman the long time host of “The Late Show” will be retiring in 2015. Letterman has had a long run in late night and felt it was time to hang up the mic.
It was announced that his replacement will be none other than Stephen Colbert. I think if I was Jimmy Fallon I would be worried. Colbert will be stepping into the big league, but he has had much success himself with the “Colbert Report”.
Colbert had this to say about his new gig. “Simply being a guest on David Letterman’s show has been a highlight of my career,” said Colbert, who sources said would be paid $10-12 million annually over the five-year deal. “I never dreamed that I would follow in his footsteps, though everyone in late night follows Dave’s lead.
“I’m thrilled and grateful that CBS chose me,” he added. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go grind a gap in my front teeth.”
Only thing I can say is that will he be the same? I guess time will tell, stay tuned.
