Artist Interview: You Don't Live that Life by Young Rob ft. Suave – West London

Young Rob 2Young Rob is a west London Hip Hop and R&B Recording Artist .His flare is for creating catchy hooks that demand attention and will stay with the listener. Check out his banging new single called “You don’t Live That Life”
Why did you select this song as your current single?
From the day it got recorded, I felt like this song actually has this vibe and a lot of potential, the feedback vibe and energy I had on that day , had me like , “yep , this is a hot one ” posted a little teaser of the audio and studio session footage on Instagram and the feedback there was dope, so decided to release it as a single .
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
Well, I originally had five Track list for the EP, reviewed it and realized i only had one hard hitting up tempo song Titled  Burn dem Down which features Da Fuchaman. YOU DONT LIVE THAT LIFE adds striking balance of Hip-hop, Reggae and R&B to the EP
What was the writing process for the song?
Well, I got the beat from DLK , and I was like Damn, this is hot . So I recorded a demo at home, sent it to suave. He loved what I did on it and then got to the lab and made it happen. This track wasn’t even supposed to be on my EP but it turned out so hot was like, Yo, this got to be on the EP.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
What it means to me? Well, just sick and tired of most of these artist rapping or sending out a type of message about a way they don’t actually live. I guess I probably got pissed of listening to a fake on radio ha-ha. But yeah, I had to get the message across
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
A lot of mad energy, when I say mad I don’t mean in it a negative way. But I do love performing and all good crazy kind of vibe getting the fans or crowd involved .
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
I think they’d describe me as the sort of artist who spits the truth .
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
Yeah, we shot a video for this the idea was to keep it simple, nothing flashy. we shot most it in my hood. And then we reached to out Dee x Fast or Ride out Tv to hook as up with a couple of bikes and stunts
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
My Motivation behind my Music varies, I love hip-hop. That alone inspires me. But my biggest motivation loves what I do. When people reach out to me saying they loving what I’m doing as an Artist that motivation it gives me is Priceless. But to get to a point where I can touch people with my music, making a difference with it and helping a person through that is what I strive for.
