Why did you select this song as your current single?

I selected “Yells” as my current single, because it is the perfect song for football season & it is the most distinct song on my new record.

How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?

This song is the most intense song on the record. It is directly linked to “Hallway Song” for obvious reasons.  “Yells” comes just before the perfect bitter-sweet transition song, “T-e-r-m-i-n-a-l”.

What was the writing process for the song?

This whole record has literally just been me speaking my soul through music. There are no artistic ideas that I came up with; I just tried to communicate exactly how I was feeling at various times in the last 12 months.

What does this song’s lyric mean to you?

Well, they are only yells & eerie harmonies. The songs lack of lyrics and use of pure vocables mean everything to me. This is a song for people who just need to get in the car, in their room, wherever, and just completely let all their emotions out.

What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?

It is nuts. Typically I teach the crowd how to do my main yell so that I don’t need to use a loop station. Hearing an entire crowd passionately yell while I harmonize on top of them is pretty unreal.

Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?

Nope, “Ending | Begin” as a whole has many different emotions, instruments, and timbres to it. It is incredibly diverse.

Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?

Good question. I’ll be trying to get a bunch of live footage of fans going nuts at shows. I want to incorporate the fans actual yells into the video production. I’ll leave the rest of the video idea as a surprise.

One last question, what is your motivation behind your music? 

My motivation is to help people. I want to help people get through a tough time, make them feel happier, or let them know that they are never alone & always have someone who cares about them. Quote me on this one here: If an artist is motivated by selfish world fame and/or becoming rich, music will do nothing but destroy them.
