Music simply has no boarders, take this group, Sing for example the tow members live in 2 different countries. Ali and Anthony use the power of technology and talent to put together a great project for music lovers. We had a chance to speak with Ali of the group about the new single “That Girl Be Sexy” and discus this unique project.
Why did you select this song as your current single?
We selected this song as our current feature, as it was the first song we worked on, it’s the first song on the album, and we felt it also gave the clearest reflection of the overall tone of the rest of the album.
How does this single relate to the rest of the EP?
That girl be crazy is a fun, pop/rock song. It’s hopefully catchy enough to sing along to. While there are a few ballads on the album, the majority of the songs are fun pop/rock.
What was the writing process for the song?
Our writing process is quite unique in a sense. I (Ali) live in Scotland in the UK, and Anthony lives in Missouri USA. We’ve never met one another and have never actually written together at the same time. This song, and the majority of the other songs, was written, firstly by myself writing the lyrics and recording a rough track, I then send over a reference track and the solo vocal track to Anthony, and he writes the music.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
The lyrics are all about fun. Sometimes I think music can be taken too seriously, so this is just a song to sing along to. Everybody has things about their significant other that irritate them a little, but in the end none of that really matters.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
Not sure what it would be like to see us perform the song live, as we haven’t had the opportunity to perform it live as yet.
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
I think our fans, for the most part could summarize us by this song.
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
There is a video in the works. We are basically getting people from various places all over the globe to record themselves singing along to the song.
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
The motivation is to try and achieve something. When it’s all said and done to be able to look back and have done something that we can be proud of. And hopefully make music that people will enjoy.
