Why did you select this song as your current single?
We feel that “Steadfast Spirit” is a powerful, hard driven song that displays every aspect of the band greatly. It simply hits you with full unrelenting force.
Please tell us how this single relates to the rest of the album?
We feel that it is a good song to help set a tone on the new album coming in the future. Our album has a very wide variety of influences in different genres metal and rock, giving it a bit of a different sound from our EP “Bridges to Nowhere.” “Steadfast Spirit,” however, is not a song that is based on how the whole album will sound. We want each song on the album to have it’s own sound and we want each song to be the best that it can be, we don’t want any fillers or any half-assed songs that could be disregarded and forgotten.
What was the writing process for the song?
We all as a band tried to apply different rock and metal influences into “Steadfast Spirit.” Dave (vocals) and CJ (lead guitar) initially came up with the idea of the song, and after jamming with it for a while, everyone was able to make it the song it is now. We each individually put the best of our abilities into our parts and into making it a song that clicks well in every way, whether it was guitar, vocals, drums, or bass, each aspect was made sure to be perfect, powerful, and unique.
Please tell what it would be like to see you in person performing this song?
– It’d be high energy and very powerful. The fast pace of the song and hard hitting riffs of the guitar, bass, and drums would rock the place. The vocals would be in your face and driving as well. Overall, we believe it’d be straight up metal and very driving.
