Vibrant, Captivating, Entertaining, Passionate, Innovative, Electrifying, Driven. Her name is ANJEZA. (A-N-Y-E-Z-A). Singer/Songwriter with a background in dance and acting. Born in Albania and raised in a “planet” she calls it “A whole different world” . This last one is definitely an outcome influenced by her continues artistic trips at a very early age. With a knowledge of seven foreign languages and a performance list that
includes countries such as Albania, Italy, Germany, Greece and cities such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, NY, she creates a multi-colorful character in the music industry.
Born in a third world country where family was worried to make ends meet, her invisible friend became dancing and singing. She is often heard saying, “I didnʼt pick music. Music picked and saved me” Music was not just a choice for Anjeza. It was a desire for a little girl to be seen, heard, and understood. It would be this deep and meaningful background connection with music that has inspired her today to speak truth through her lyrics and express an outmost passion through her work . “Music is not a route to fame”- she says. “ Itʼs a route to live and love”
She is in love with the world and determined to make an emotional, cultural, and financial difference through her music. Connecting, changing, uniting, mending, inspiring, motivating, and transforming are several of her desires sheʼs determined to see as a result of a successful music career.
As part of the pop/dance music genre, she aspires mto entertain, and speak truth at the same time. “Let Music Tell The Truth” is one of her motto that truly echoes in her music.

Why did you select this song as your current single?
“Standing O” is a powerful title that matches my life and artistic image. Standing O stands for Standing Ovation that is not only the expression of an amazing success or performance, but most importantly an emotional success. Being a songwriter gives me the freedom and attachment towards my music that very often expresses my life or that of the others that has impacted mine. The song speaks of a failed relationship and the strength of a woman to stand strong and continue to pursue her passions. Often we are placed in a crossroads and required to make a choice. Although it can often be difficult, I have learned that choosing what makes you happy and doesn’t hurt you is the best choice. Standing O- Standing tall- Choosing happiness – Choosing to say enough to games because you are better- Choosing to recognize the self-worth and moving on- Choosing what moves you…. and then living the success of your choice- Standing Ovation- Winning
Standing O relates with many of us. Being able to connect with the audience, inspire them, and potentially help them while saying “I was there too”, “You can do it” , “You are worth it” , “There is a beautiful world beyond your today’s pain” etc..through a great and modern beat is the best I could ask for. As an artist I live to entertain, change, heal, and inspire.
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
I haven’t developed an EP yet. My music style is currently revamping and will soon become even more interesting. (stay tuned for that)
However to answer your questions all my singles although delivered through different music genres, they all stand for few theme words. “Independence, Class, Strength, Love, Passion, Lesson, Emerge, Win” (Yes, we always win. No matter how high we reach or low we fall, we always win) 😉
What was the writing process for the song?
Beautiful. I sat down with my producer JayKay and was having dinner. JayKay doesn’t apply the rule of delivering tracks to artists and they can write to it. He writes with the artist, believing all stories are unique and need to be developed based on the unique story they are inspired from. So, I told JayKay my story during dinner. He said, we can write about it. I don’t really like to give credits to people that hurts me and decorate their actions with a song, but this story was different. It wasn’t about me . It wasn’t about him. It was going to be a song of truth and letting go to focus on so many other beautiful gifts life had given me. The next week wed met. And JayKay start to play a melody on the piano. I loved it. I said that’s it. We started as a ballad that escalated to something powerful and entertaining. Then other elements were added to it such as dance beats, dub step, talking (my trademark in songs) etc. The next week after we tracked the vocals. And finally after few weeks when I go to listen to the finish product I was in love. The song went from soft pop to a dance beat. It had energy. It entertained. It expressed a story. And with that I was satisfied.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
Most of my songs are based on my life. I write often about my experiences, because they are true and being truthful is important to me. It’s an amazing therapy for myself. Experience has shown that after writing a song about a story of my life.. I become completely detached from pain afterwards. It becomes a joke of the past. I look at it and say.. Was that me? Sometimes I feel I go through bad choices so I can write a song which can in turn inspire others.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
I love performing. Having a background in dance makes my performances entertaining. I choreograph most of my shows. The movements are an extension of the story. I have my dancers when I perform and we are lots of fun, I like to believe. However, I always thought that an acoustic version of “Standing O” would be cool as well, so I am really opened to both.
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
Definitely. Beat is entertaining and fun. It brings truth. It speaks life. It evokes a lesson. It identifies. It says I lived it. It says I trusted. It says I believed. It says I got hurt. It says I walked out. It says I succeeded without the pain. It says you can too. And knowing me, reading my life story, my book, my work – One can easily understand that this is ME..which is truly an extension of THEM (fans- audience)
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
There is only a live performance video of this song on youtube. “Standing O” by Anjeza. The official video will be coming soon. We are planning to bring something artistic and unique, showcasing my acting and dance background as well. I can’t wait to share with all of you.
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
Life. Change. Heal. Inspire. Entertain. – I want to encounter fans one day that can express: Because of you, I didn’t give up. Because of you, I didn’t hurt myself. Because of you, I am living my dream. Because in you, I saw me. Because your music changed my life.
There is no better feeling than knowing your life has purpose. Music is what I love and what makes me happy. Knowing that my happiness can reach and make a difference, is the ultimate success of an artist.
