Why did you select this song as your current single?
I actually like this song because it mixes modern pop with retro pop, rock and funk. I think it’s fresh and captures the spirit of both albums in which it was released.
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
First it was released as part of my “Apocalipsis WOW!” album in its CD format, only available in Uruguay. Then it was released as a stand alone digital single. Last, I revisited it for my album “Alternativow” as an alternate version.
What was the writing process for the song?
This was one of those songs in which music came first and lyrics after. I was trying to make something in the style of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers mixed with urban. I really enjoy how different genres can come together and live in perfect harmony.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
Growing up in a small country like Uruguay, rumors are really an everyday issue. And when you make yourself a name, these made up stuff will start spreading like fire. So when you end up a relationship it’s not rare to hear everyone talking made up stuff about you. That’s why I ask to that person to say that made up stuff to my face, it’s a dare; that way others will see who’s making up stuff.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
Fun! I really wnjoy performing this song cause I always imagine I’m singing it to the person it was written for.
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
Sonically yes. As for the lyrics they could get to know how all my songs come from personal experiences.
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
I have a great concept for it. Maybe it will come to life when the time’s right.
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
I found out recently that my true motivation is when people tell me that they feel identified with one of my songs. I don’t care if they’re 10 or 1000. It’s an honor and really cool feeling. It’s what really tells me that I’m doing things right.
