1. Why did you select this song as your single?
I selected “Party All Night” as a single because it was very well-received when I debuted it live at a show. It’s a very digestible record that still sends a message, and carries a good vibe that people need these days.
2. Explain the concept behind the video?
The concept of the video is simple: a celebration, and being around the ones you care about, really just living in the moment. Though I pride myself on making music with a message, not every message has to be ominous, depressing or serious. Sometimes, good things happen and call for a celebration, and that’s what this record is all about. I brought Edge Media, who does all my videos, up to the spot one night, we shot this in an hour and the next day he had the video edited. The kid is a genius.
3. How does this song relate to the rest of the Album?
This song is one of the lighter songs on the album and is a nice balance to the rest of it. So much serious stuff is happening that I touch upon in the album, that this record was needed to show that there is a brighter side to life.
4. How was the writing process for this record?
I had this beat from Big Jerm for a long time before I did anything with it. My man DJ Spillz kind of challenged me to make a party record, which was out of my comfort zone at the time. I tried it, but still kept it hip hop, and the rest is history!
5. What would it be like seeing you in person?
Man, performing this song is crazy. The crowd goes wild each and every time. I usually use it to close out the show because it sets the tone for the rest of the night. It’s also a great interactive record to get the crowd involved in my show.
