So, you may have asked the question, where did country music begin? Well there is a new museum that is now having its hallways filled with the earliest country music recordings. Many of us must be automatically thinking Nashville ofcourse, but you would be wrong. The birthplace of America’s most popular sound was Bristol, a small town on the Tennessee-Virginia state line. The museum aims to tell the story of the Bristol Sessions, a series of historic recording sessions that took place here in 1927 and helped spread what was then known as “hillbilly music” to the rest of the country.
