No stranger to trouble, since he assaulted Rihanna back in 2009; Chris Brown has caught himself into more trouble. On Sunday 10/27/13 Chris Brown and bodyguard got into altercation in front of his tour bus and the W Hotel in Washington D.C. Chris Brown defense was that he was stopping the guy (assaulted) from entering his tour bus (so what are body guards for?).
Whether this was true or not the guy ended up in the ER with swelling and black and blue marks all over his body. Chris and his body guard were both arrested and spent 36 hours in the Washington DC jail. On Monday 10/28/13 both men entered court in irons and handcuffs, but at the end they were unchained and freed without bail.
Chris Brown’s lawyer Danny Onorato said “Christopher Brown committed no crime.” He continued to say that they “understand that his security acted to protect Mr. Brown and his property, as he is authorized to do under District of Columbia law. We are confident that Mr. Brown will be exonerated of any wrongdoing.”
The problem here is that this arrest can really put Chris into a bind. Chris has been on probation since his unforgettable Rihanna altercation. The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office has been monitoring Chris and over the last year he has had run in with Frank Ocean, Drake and a hit and run motor vehicle accident..
According to CNN The Los Angeles County district attorney have twice filed probation violation charges against the singer this year, resulting in an additional 1,000 hours of community labor being added to his sentence for beating Rihanna.
The next step in Los Angeles is for Brown’s probation officer to prepare a report on the arrest for Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Brandlin, who had already ordered Brown to appear in his court on November 20 for a probation status hearing.
In light of all this, Chris could possibly be facing some time in jail if his probation is revoked. With all things considered other non-celebrity would be going away. Chris has made a strong case for the prosecutors. We will all keep watch to see how this one turns out. One last note, probation rules require Brown to stay out of all legal trouble. Even an arrest that does not lead to a conviction could result in a probation violation charge.
