Indie-Pop artist Carrie Lane debuted her brand new single “If I Can’t Be With You” with Forever 21 recently, and today it’s available on all digital retailers and streaming partners. The track is the follow up single to Carrie’s October 2016 release “Drowning,” also available to stream on Spotify.
“‘If I Can’t Be With You’ is about the all-consuming feeling you get when you first fall in love with someone and all you want is to be with that person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” Carrie explains. “I remember being a teenager and every time I started dating a boy I would have these butterflies in my stomach all of the time and I would talk about it nonstop with my girlfriends. When they would ask me questions like, ‘what happens if he breaks up with you?’ I would say, ‘I’d rather DIE’ in the most dramatic fashion possible. I’ve definitely matured out of that stage of puppy love, but I have always been a hopeless romantic and when I fall, I fall hard, and this song is a testament to that.”
