Why did you select this song as your current single?
“I Am Ready,” is a statement piece I wanted to reflect on the way I felt after releasing my previous debut EP. As well I wanted to send a message for people to follow your dreams, your passion for what you love to do.
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album?
I usually write songs about life experiences and subjects surrounding that. “I Am Ready,” being the main statement, I then wanted to branched off with matters of relationships, death, life, lies, and faith for the other tracks. Style wise I think it sets the pace of what to expect.
What was the writing process for the song?
Starts with the acoustic guitar and the melodies, then usually ideas just come to me based on the feeling of the music for lyrics. I then start playing around with what I really want to say and what message to get across. I make a demo with doing all the instruments to get a general since of where it’s going, then re-think before reading the actual version put out for the fans and presenting to a producer.
