Check out great new interview with Cold Forty Three a pop drunk band out of LA on their new song, “Hundred Dollar Bail.”
Why did you select this song as your current single?
Hundred dollar bail, was just a fun and great idea for a video. We like being ourselves and we felt this song best expressed it.
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
The single, basically relates, in that we started to experiment, with trying different things with our lyric writing. We wanted to shock and awe people.
What was the writing process for the song?
We sat around together, and just pitched ideas to each other. Took notes, then after we went home, I would (Josh) put our ideas together as best as I saw fit.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
The lyrics we’re a very fun way for us to say anything we wanted in our songs. We could get away with a little bit more.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
I think people really enjoy the energy we put out on stage, so this song like any other we perform, would just be us going crazy on stage and having fun. I think people would like that.
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
No. We touch on different subjects, but it does show we like to be loose and act like goofballs sometimes.
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
Video is up and running and we follow the song lyrics pretty closely. You’ll just have to watch
and see.
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
We just love to play. It allows to do so much in our lives. Travel, express ourselves, sometimes
it can be therapeutic. Music always will be something that’s needed in this world. And, we are very happy to contribute to that cause.
