Originally hailing from Liberia, singer, songwriter, and dancer Zarah Washington, better known as her stage name “Nokie” (pronounce “Nookey”) is making her official debut as she is gearing up to hit the FM airwaves with her single entitled “Going Up” that will be releasing on iTunes and other digital stores Friday November 6th! “Going Up” is produced by P.Diddy’s go to producer Richard “Younglord” Frierson, who has produced hits for other such superstar artists such as Beyoncé Knowles, Mase, Big Pun (RIP), Lil Kim, LL Cool J, Fat Joe, New Edition, Ginuwine, and more. Even though her debut single is a sexy Pop record, Nokie also has a very soulful side that can, not only be heard in “Going Up,” but will be heard in her future song releases capturing new fans and established audiences alike.
