Why did you select this song as your current single?
Vast majority of our audience likes this track the most. We love to play it live as well. Its pretty easy, full of drive, and aslo very rhythmic. Melody is easy to remember. Usually people select song by the beauty of their names. “Clone Fight” looks quite good, and pronounces fast.
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
“Clone Fight” is from Indytronics’ debut LP called “Scintilla Wave”. This song blends the album well. That’s why the Scintilla is so various and interesting. It has fresh sound, like a mountain wind blows you in a face.
What was the writing process for the song?
I remember I was sitting at my balcony, watching clouds, when I played first ever notes for this song, on my old acoustic guitar. Clouds were really amazing that day, so I wrote “Well, if you seen this cloud alone”.
Than I brought it back to guys with plenty of ideas. Guys just did it better, with some guitar effects, bass and drums.
The song was written under the impression by the ‘Goodbye Normals’ vlog, about a couple of travelers divided after their adventure in 600 days.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
Lyrics succeed pretty good – they are mostly about how to continue your way to the goal and dream. They mean to me exactly my dream. I feel it in my body, and in my “wings” that I “don’t want to be stopped by taking below”.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
We like to open our gigs, with this song. Audience wakes up, and usually begins to move more and more. The most impressive at the live gigs is the sound of solo guitar with an effect.
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
I think no, because I am sure, that we’ll move straight forward at music, so we’ll write songs even better! But still, friends say, that the song is great, and sound exactly like a new band somewhere abroad.
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
The Idea, unfortunately, is not the main problem, of making a good video. Of course, we were planning the video, since we released the song, but one thing is needed – is a quite big sum of money. But, yes, we do have some ideas!
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
We want to travel a lot. Discovering the world, and playing music for the fans, is perfect, isn’t it. My motivation makes me stronger on my way. It really helps you, at hard moments, when you really need it. Just like the Gryffindor blade.
