Why did you select this song as your current single?
I picked “Dirty” as my single because I got a lot of feedback from it at my listening party. It was my original choice for my single, but it was still up in the air, after seeing all the feedback made it a definite pick
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
It relates to the album because it’s raw and based on real life events.
What was the writing process for the song?
I been putting my songs together in my head (no pen and pad) but I was just riding around listening to the track produced by Tomlin and it just came to me…the concept, and the delivery just came to me.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
The lyrics of this song and a lot of songs I’ve done represents the journey of struggle to self-success, when you come from certain situations and see certain things you tend to veer into a certain lane of the streets where you can struggle and gain success or not.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
To see me perform this song is to see somebody that came from nothing do something they love. A lot of passion a lot of energy as well.
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
Not necessarily, my music symbolizes a way of life that others can relate to, it’s about the grind and the hustle of life. Although it’s a part of my character, it’s just a small peak.
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
The video is not yet complete but my team and I are in thought process, we’re still building ideas and concepts.
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
My motivation number one is my kids it feels good to me for my daughter to say “dad can you put on such and such song” as well as me feeling like this is an opportunity to put them in a better situation then I was. Also, to hear people say “I like ya music” when they come up to me or when I lay a verse and come out the booth to people saying you kilt that joint or even seeing their reactions through the glass while I’m in the booth I just feel like I can grasp a lot of people’s attention and make them feel me, it’s very motivating.
