RHAIN has released her debut EP Oscar November Echo following on from support at BBC Radio 1, R3 & 6Music, The Independent and a number of brilliant tastemakers online.
The first three tracks were recorded at Toybox Studios in Bristol after her huge vocal and inimitable charm won the favour of Alex Lee (Florence & The Machine), Ali Chant (Youth Lagoon) and John Parish (PJ Harvey) at a local show and they offered to help her out. The fourth track ‘Tall Ships’ was recorded with the help of Douglas Richards (Plastic Mermaids) at his house on the Isle of Wight.
Having recently performed in support of the likes of Lucy Rose and Rufus Wainwright, at a whole host of festivals over the summer (including End of the Road and Bluedot) and at a number of exciting showcases (for: BBC R3 Late Junction, Drowned In Sound, Mahogany, Off the Record and Society of The Golden Slippers) she is beginning to earn herself a fervent fan-base in the UK.
RHAIN plays her first headline show in London at The Waiting Room on 7th December with members of her friends’ band Plastic Mermaids backing her live. Support comes from J Churcher.
