Ringing, triumphant chords and lyrics that allude to conquered tribulations immediately make the music relatable to everyone.Time can have a tricky way of beating people down and telling them to forget who they wanted to be and who they are.The fact that some members of the strangely clan are in recovery brings to mind the reality that people can find what was once lost.

Check out there amazing new single, “Paint Outside the Lines” below and find out why they wrote this song.
Why did you select this song as your current single?
People have been really connecting to Paint live. And our producer Todd Ensminger was adamant that it was to be our next release. He really likes the tune and what Todd wants he gets…lol
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
It doesn’t really. I’m trying release songs that have a unique vibe unto themselves. From the backstory, single art and the song itself, we’re creating songs and releasing them one at a time as their own little piece of art. Hopefully people dig the tune, it piques their interest and they want to hear more.
What was the writing process for the song?
The chords came quickly. Songwriting is like voodoo…songs come out of the universe if you let em and they smack ya upside the head…lol…And Paint is one of those progressions that happened in a flash for me…The lyrics took a couple rewrites…
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
I don’t want to get stuck thinking that there’s only one way. If there’s one thing I’ve learned lately, it’s that I get to be who I want to be based on today. And sometimes that means I have to tilt my perception just enough to see and do things differently than I used to. Sometimes the old ideas just don’t work. It’s always more comfortable to keep things the same. But I’ve found if I’m not moving forward I’m probably sliding back….
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
Awesome. Exciting…Theatrical…Rocking
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
Yes! It’s a little bit of all that we are. Rocking, melodic, positive and hopeful. Why not, huh?
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
Yes. We’ll shoot in Dec. It will be colorful, fun, and a little goofy and tie in to this line:
“Let’s live this life without those parachutes. Investigate another point of view. Everbody gets to change. Everbody gets to move. Baby know we’ve got the right, to find another groove….”
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
I feel like it’s tough to put any expectations on who you will reach or not reach with your songs. My belief system today is what is lost can be found, or recovered if you will, and that we’re not alone in our feelings and fears and that love is the answer. The question is how to express those concepts without being hokey or have people feel like they are being beat over the head with those ideas. One thing that being in a program of recovery has shown me the last few years is that how similar people are. So if I like a song we’ve created and the idea behind it there will probably be other folks that will dig it too. Who connects with what is up to the universe. (and maybe some good promotion…lol) I’ve learned that I just need to do the work as best I can. I’m at a place in my life where I have realized I’d like to be about the solution and not the problem. I guess I’d just like people to have a sliver of hope when they hear our songs and story that it might turn out okay for them too even if it’s not the way they imagined life would be.
