Album Review: Quit Bein Scared by Molly Mawlz – Pittsburgh, PA

October 15, 2011
PITTSBURGH, Don’t sleep on Molly Mawlz! She might draw her male listeners in with a beautiful face, but her voice and flow is sure to hook them. Quit Bein Scared, her debut mixtape, made a statement — this girl is the double threat. Molly isn’t just a talented rapper; her vocals on the album were excellent.
She perfectly blends an old school hip hop flow with some Nicki Minaj flair. Lyrically, Molly is not a finished product. However, she is way beyond the curve for someone that has only been in the game for about a year. Throughout the album, she flashes superior lyrical skills. As she works on her craft, she has the potential to be a world killer.
On this reviewer’s favorite track, Love Monster, she combines her excellent vocals with that jersey shore flow — she beat that beat up. Jimmy Bond hints at a creativity that will keep her from being a flash in the pan. The rest of the mixtape is filled with songs that provide glimpses of her skills and her unique style. IMoveILive says take Molly advice and quit being scared go download her mixtape!
