Check out our interview about her new single, “She is Just a Girl.”
Why did you select this song as your current single?
Course it talks about a very difficult topic.
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album, EP or Mix-tape?
There will be a Mixtape in august with different artist performing the songs I wrote.
What was the writing process for the song?
It started within a discussion about trafficking and how a friend that’s is a police work with the shattered girls that are part of this business. I also related to the young girls that I work with at my daytime work and how vulnerable young girls are today.
This story grew on me and then it had to come out. When I started to write it was just a flow in it.
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
As a mom its also a special feeling to write about such topic knowing that its n parenting issue to handle how to tell your daughter that she is growing up in a world where people forgets that life is not about being there to please everybody else.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
In the first draft of this I felt very vulnerable and those that herd the first version sensed that. It means a lot to me, its n important topic.
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
As a songwriter you write from you not about you so I guess the answer is no. But on the other hand my genre is telling stories both in instrumental pieces and in those with lyrics.
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
Yes there is I made it last week and a artist called Nasien is performing it https://youtu.be/-nxm3HctyRE and the video is supposed to show the melancholia and vulnerability in the abused girls stories.
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
I like to take people to other places and make them out from the place where they are now to see the movie of my story before their eyes.
